With our HSM solution, you can manage all your data all the time. Your asset management team can quickly access and retrieve data while keeping track of where all copies reside. Our digital asset management system also provides for added data protection by simultaneously making up to four multiple copies. One copy is maintained in the Library for immediate nealine access. Additional copies can be used in off-line storage or taken off-site for disaster recovery protection.

The entry level system consists of one basic robotic console and one drive console housing up to four tape drives. Ovation Data Services offers a modular, robotic system that is expandable from 1 terabyte up to 11 petabytes of data. The number and configuration are based upon your space allocation. The robot incorporates high-capacity tape technology (up to 200 GB - native per tape) with high-speed data-streaming capability (up to 24 MB/Sec - native per drive) designed to accommodate the unique demands of digital data management.

All upgrades in drive technology are backward -compatible to protect your investment.

Ovation Data Services had the ability to compact hundreds of thousands of 9-track and 3480 tapes or other media in multiple formats down to a more manageable data set of high density media such as IBM 3590 and LTO cartridges, Quantum DLT cartridges or Sony DTF cassettes. The results allow you to maintain just one system that works with all your data rather than keeping a multitude of different systems.

All output media is then accurately labeled so other people using the tape can easily obtain all the pertinent information they need. That save significant amounts of time and aggravation that is often caused by existing poorly labeled media.

If you prefer, ODS can provide you with a self contained software and hardware system that allows you to independently perform tape copying and transcription. Since this sophisticated system is identical to the one used in production, you can be assured of our commitment to maintain, develop and upgrade the system as new software and media become available.
