Several Companies Join with Isilon to Bring the Benefits of Clustered Storage to the Oil and Gas Marketplace

SEATTLE, WA - November 7, 2005 Isilon® Systems, today at SEG 2005, ushered in the dramatic benefits of clustered storage to the oil and gas industry with a number of key announcements. Isilon announced new relationships with Seismic Micro-Technologies, Inc. (SMT), and Enigma Data Solutions, as well as reseller agreements with UpTime, Ovation Data Services, Inc. and Houston Information Team (HIT) to provide the oil and gas industry with next generation Isilon IQ clustered storage. Finally, Isilon Systems will be a featured presenter at SEG 2005. Isilon IQ clustered storage enables oil and gas customers to dramatically accelerate the digital workflow across the upstream oil and gas lifecycle while significantly reducing management and ownership costs.

Companies Join Isilon to Bring Benefits of Clustered Storage to Oil and Gas Industry

Isilon also announced today it has joined forces with Seismic Micro Technologies, Inc. and Enigma Data Solutions to provide data storage solutions for upstream oil and gas exploration. Isilon IQ has been thoroughly tested and has received certified interoperability with SMT's KINGDOM suite of software products for oil and gas data interpretation, modeling and simulation.

Isilon and UpTime have partnered together to help bring the far-reaching business benefits of clustered storage to the oil and gas industry. UpTime will provide Isilon with an additional sales channel into the oil and gas industry, helping Isilon deliver next-generation clustered storage solutions to customers throughout the oil and gas market.

Isilon has also paired with Ovation Data Services, Inc. to form an additional sales channel into oil and gas exploration, making the benefits of clustered storage available to the industry like never before. In conjunction with this reseller partnership, Isilon also announced that Ovation Data Services has also deployed more than 20 Terabytes of Isilon IQ as the primary storage for its rapidly expanding storage needs.

Finally, Isilon has teamed with HIT to further widen sales channel support for Isilon's product line in the upstream oil and gas exploration marketplace.
