HOUSTON, TX –
November 3, 2005 – Time Warner Telecom Inc. (NASDAQ: TWTC), a leading
provider of managed voice and data networking solutions for businesses, today
announced it has signed a three-year contract to provide private IP network
services to Ovation Data Services, Inc, a Houston-based company specializing in
digital data management.
“The oil and gas industry has thousands of large seismic data sets, many
worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, sitting in remote storage locations,”
said Gregory Servos, president and COO of Ovation Data Services. “Working with
Time Warner Telecom, we are now able to help many companies in this industry
easily and quickly gain access to these files and in many cases, book revenue
instantly. What's more, we are able to do this securely and reliably, two things
that are of paramount importance in the oil and gas industry”
Ovation is a charter member of the Geophysical Private Access Connection
Service (GEO-PACS), a new service dedicated to promoting
secure information transfers among oil and gas companies and their vendors or
customers. Under the agreement, Time Warner Telecom will deliver the private IP
network Ovation needs to facilitate the transport of critical geophysical data
on demand.

– Ovation
Data Services, Inc. was again honored by the Houston Business Journal for
being one of the top small businesses in Houston for 2004. The award was based on how
each company is set apart not only in growth and industry leadership but also in
it's service to the community. The awards ceremony will place on Friday, May 20, 2005. The honored 100 businesses will appear
in the May 23th issue of the Houston Business Journal.
Ovation ranked 54th
in the top 100 of Houston area business for 2003.
Ovation also placed 9th
in Percentage of Growth from 2002-2003.
Ranked by 2003 gross revenue, the companies on this list
meet criteria established by the Houston Small Business 100 Advisory Committee.
All are headquartered within the eight-county Houston metropolitan area, have a
maximum of 500 employees and a maximum of $50 million in revenue and have been
doing business for a minimum of five years.
